Appointment cards provide a simple way to give customers a physical reminder of their next booking. Measuring 85 x 55mm, they use the same compact format as a standard UK business card, making them easy to keep in a wallet, purse or card holder.
Printed on 350gsm white card, appointment cards can be supplied single or double sided and in portrait or landscape orientation. Upload your own print-ready artwork and create a card that matches your branding while leaving suitable space for appointment details.
Appointment cards are commonly used by businesses where customers return for scheduled visits. They are particularly useful for hairdressers, barbers, beauty salons, nail technicians, therapists, dentists, clinics, opticians and other appointment-based services.
A card can provide space for details such as the customer's next appointment date, time, staff member or treatment. It also gives you an opportunity to include useful business information such as your telephone number, address or opening hours.
For customers who prefer a physical reminder rather than relying entirely on email or phone notifications, an appointment card can be a useful addition to the booking process.
A printed appointment card gives customers something tangible to take away after making their next booking. Because it fits easily into a wallet or purse, the details can remain accessible until the appointment date.
The card can also reinforce your branding each time the customer sees it. A clear logo, contact information and consistent design help the card serve both as an appointment reminder and a small piece of branded print.
For businesses encouraging repeat visits, appointment cards can be a practical way to support rebooking without needing a larger printed format.
The most important part of the design is leaving enough clear space for the appointment information itself.
Avoid filling every part of the card with promotional text. Keeping the layout simple makes handwritten or printed appointment details easier to see at a glance.
Landscape is a popular choice for appointment cards because the wider layout provides convenient space for date and time fields alongside business details.
Portrait can work well for simpler or more distinctive designs, particularly where the business logo and appointment details are arranged vertically.
Whichever layout you choose, make sure the area used for appointment information remains easy to find and comfortably sized.
Single-sided cards work well when your branding, contact information and appointment fields can all be accommodated clearly on one face.
Double-sided printing provides additional flexibility. One side can be dedicated to your business branding and contact details, while the reverse can contain the appointment fields, opening hours, cancellation information or other useful customer details.
Appointment cards are printed on 350gsm white card, providing a sturdy format suitable for keeping in a wallet or purse.
The white surface works well with a wide range of branding styles and gives both text and coloured artwork a clean background.
Select your printed sides, orientation and required quantity before uploading your own print-ready artwork.
Free standard delivery is included, with faster delivery services available when needed. Eligible orders can also benefit from fast 24-hour dispatch, with a next-day delivery option available for customers working to a tighter deadline.
Appointment cards have a finished size of 85 x 55mm. When preparing your artwork, the file should include the required bleed beyond the finished edge and keep important text, logos and appointment fields safely inside the trim line.
We require 2mm bleed on every edge, giving an overall artwork size of 89 x 59mm. Background colours, photographs and graphics intended to continue to the edge of the finished card should extend fully into this bleed area.
Important content should be kept at least 3mm inside the finished edge. This safe area is particularly important on a small card because text, logos or appointment fields positioned too close to the edge can make the finished layout feel cramped.
Artwork should be created at the correct dimensions, with images and graphics ideally supplied at 300dpi at their final printed size.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
When designing an appointment card, give particular attention to the area where booking details will be added. Date and time fields should be large enough to use comfortably, with sufficient clear space around them.
If details will be handwritten, avoid placing busy artwork or dark backgrounds behind the writing area. A clean, uncluttered section will make appointment information much easier for both staff and customers to read.
Use the appointment card artwork diagram as a visual reference if you are unsure about the finished dimensions, bleed or safe area. Checking these details before uploading can help prevent unwanted white edges, cropped information or appointment fields sitting too close to the finished edge.
