A7 leaflets have a finished size of 74 x 105mm. Artwork should be prepared at the correct dimensions and include the required bleed beyond the finished edge where colours, photographs or graphics are intended to continue right to the edge.
We require 2mm bleed on every edge, giving an overall artwork size of 78 x 109mm. Background colours and images that continue to the finished edge should extend fully into this additional area.
Important text, logos, voucher codes and contact details should remain at least 3mm inside the finished edge. The available space is limited at A7, so keeping essential content safely away from the trim is particularly important.
Artwork should be supplied at the correct size, with photographs and other raster images ideally set at 300dpi at their final printed dimensions. Starting with suitable-quality artwork helps logos, small graphics and fine details reproduce clearly.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
Because A7 is a small format, always check the design at approximately its finished printed size. Avoid reducing large amounts of information to very small text simply to make it fit. A shorter message with clear spacing will generally be much easier to read.
