4 page A4 folded leaflets give you a generous amount of space for detailed information, larger images and clearly organised sections. They begin as a flat A3 sheet measuring 297 x 420mm and are folded once through the centre to create a finished A4 size of 210 x 297mm.
The four-page format gives you a front cover, two large inside pages and a back cover, making it well suited to brochures, programmes, product information and more substantial customer guides.
Upload your own print-ready artwork and choose from gloss, silk and uncoated paper stocks.
A4 folded leaflets are ideal when you need to present a larger amount of information in a structured format. Common uses include product brochures, service guides, event programmes, property information, course details, company introductions and detailed customer information.
The two inside pages provide a wide A3 spread when the leaflet is fully opened, giving you plenty of room for larger photographs, diagrams, price tables or several sections of supporting text.
This makes A4 particularly useful for printed material that customers are likely to keep, read in detail or refer back to later.
The main advantage of A4 is the amount of usable page space. Longer sections of text can be combined with larger images without making the layout feel cramped.
The four-page structure also helps divide detailed information into a clear sequence, with the front cover introducing the subject, the inside spread carrying the main content and the back page providing supporting details.
If you need a more compact format for menus, price lists or shorter service information, a 4 Page A5 Folded Leaflet may be more suitable.
The leaflet starts as a flat A3 sheet measuring 297 x 420mm and is folded once through the centre. This is commonly known as a half fold or bi-fold.
Once folded, the finished leaflet measures A4 and is viewed in portrait format. The outside spread contains the back cover and front cover, while the inside spread contains pages two and three.
A complete 4 page A4 folded leaflet is printed on both sides of the flat A3 sheet.
One side forms the outside spread and the other forms the inside spread. This gives you four large pages for combining headings, photographs, tables, diagrams and supporting information in a clear reading order.
Choose from gloss, silk and uncoated stocks depending on the style and purpose of your leaflet.
Gloss can suit photography and colourful brochure designs, silk provides a smoother and more understated finish, while uncoated paper offers a natural surface that can work well for information guides, programmes and designs that may need to be written on.
Select your paper stock and required quantity before uploading your own print-ready artwork.
Free standard delivery is included with every order, with faster delivery services available when required. Eligible orders can also benefit from fast 24-hour dispatch, with a next-day delivery option for customers working to a tighter deadline.
A 4 page A4 folded leaflet is printed flat as an A3 sheet measuring 297 x 420mm and folded through the centre to create a finished A4 size of 210 x 297mm.
For a leaflet printed inside and outside, artwork should be supplied as two landscape A3 spreads rather than as four separate A4 pages. One spread represents the outside of the leaflet and the other represents the inside.
The fold runs vertically through the centre of each landscape spread. Use the artwork diagram alongside as a guide to the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area.
For a fully printed 4 page folded leaflet, supply:
Check the page order carefully before uploading, especially where photographs or other design elements are intended to continue across the inside spread.
We require 2mm bleed around the outer edge of each spread. Background colours, photographs and graphics intended to continue to the trimmed edge should extend fully into this bleed area.
Important text, logos, prices and other essential information should remain at least 3mm inside the finished trim edge.
Keep important wording clear of the centre fold as well. Large photographs or background elements can cross the fold, but small text, logos and other critical details should not rely on sitting directly over the crease.
Artwork should be created at the correct dimensions, with photographs and other raster images ideally supplied at 300dpi at their final printed size.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
The larger A4 pages give you plenty of space for detailed content, but a clear structure is still important. Use headings, columns and spacing to separate sections, and check smaller text, tables and captions at approximately their finished printed size before uploading.
Use the 4 page A4 folded leaflet artwork diagram as a visual reference for the flat A3 size, finished A4 size, fold line, bleed and safe area. Checking both spreads carefully before upload can help prevent incorrect page order, unwanted white edges or important information sitting too close to the trim or fold.
