4 page 148mm square folded flyers combine a distinctive square format with four clear pages for presenting promotional or informational content. They begin as a landscape spread measuring 296 x 148mm and are folded once through the centre to create a finished size of 148 x 148mm.
The equal width and height of each finished page creates a balanced layout that works particularly well with strong imagery, centred designs, product photography and content that benefits from a more visual presentation.
Upload your own print-ready artwork and choose from gloss, silk and uncoated paper stocks.
Square folded flyers are well suited to designs where appearance and presentation are an important part of the message. Common uses include product showcases, invitations, event promotions, menus, service guides, special offers, brand introductions and short promotional brochures.
The front cover can be used for a bold image, headline or logo, while the two inside pages provide space for the main information. The back page can then hold contact details, supporting information or a final call to action.
The unusual square shape can also help the finished piece feel noticeably different from standard A-series or DL folded leaflets.
The main appeal of the square format is its balanced proportions. Equal width and height give photographs, centred typography and symmetrical layouts plenty of visual impact.
The four-page structure also gives you more room than a flat square flyer while keeping the finished piece compact and easy to handle.
If your design works better in a traditional portrait format, a 4 Page A5 Folded Flyer may be more suitable. The 148mm square format is a strong choice where the shape itself contributes to the overall design.
The flyer starts as a landscape spread measuring 296 x 148mm and is folded once through the centre. This is commonly known as a half fold or bi-fold.
Once folded, the finished piece measures 148 x 148mm and opens like a simple square booklet. The outside spread contains the back cover and front cover, while the inside spread contains pages two and three.
A complete 4 page square flyer is printed on both sides of the flat 296 x 148mm spread.
One side forms the outside spread and the other forms the inside spread. The square pages lend themselves particularly well to visual layouts where images, headings and supporting information can each be given their own clear space.
Choose from gloss, silk and uncoated stocks depending on the style and purpose of your design.
Gloss can work well for colourful photography and image-led artwork, while silk provides a smoother, more understated finish. Uncoated paper offers a more natural surface and can suit invitations, text-led designs and promotional pieces where a less glossy appearance is preferred.

A 4 page 148mm square flyer is printed flat as a landscape spread measuring 296 x 148mm and folded through the centre to create a finished size of 148 x 148mm.
Artwork should be supplied as two 296 x 148mm landscape spreads rather than as four separate square pages. One spread represents the outside of the flyer and the other represents the inside.
The fold runs vertically through the centre of each spread. Use the artwork diagram alongside as a guide to the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area.
For a fully printed 4 page flyer, supply:
Check the page order carefully before uploading and make sure each half of the spread has been designed specifically for the 148 x 148mm square proportions.
We require 2mm bleed around the outer edge of the artwork. Background colours, photographs and graphics intended to continue to the trimmed edge should extend fully into this bleed area.
Important text, logos and other essential design elements should remain at least 3mm inside the finished trim edge.
It is also good practice to keep important content clear of the centre fold. Text, logos or other key elements placed directly across the crease may become harder to read or may not sit exactly as expected once the flyer has been folded.
Artwork should be created at the correct dimensions, with images ideally supplied at 300dpi at their final printed size.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
The square format benefits from artwork designed specifically for equal-width and equal-height pages. Centred compositions, balanced spacing and clear focal points often work well, while simply adapting artwork from a rectangular format can leave the layout feeling awkward or crowded.
Use the 4 page square flyer artwork diagram as a visual reference for the 296 x 148mm flat size, 148 x 148mm finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area. Checking both spreads carefully before upload can help prevent incorrect page order, unwanted white edges or important content being positioned too close to the trim or fold.
