4 page DL folded flyers combine a slim finished format with four separate pages for presenting information in a clear and organised way. They begin as a flat sheet measuring 198 x 210mm and are folded once through the centre to create a finished DL size of 99 x 210mm.
The fold creates a front cover, two inside pages and a back cover, making the format particularly useful for menus, price lists, service information and promotional material that naturally works in a tall, narrow layout.
Upload your own print-ready artwork and choose from gloss, silk and uncoated paper stocks.
The slim DL format works particularly well for information that can be arranged into short sections or lists. Common uses include takeaway menus, treatment lists, service guides, price lists, promotional offers, event information and compact business literature.
Each of the four pages has a tall, narrow shape that naturally suits headings followed by prices, services or concise descriptions. The front page can introduce the business or offer, while the inside spread provides room for the main information.
The finished DL size is also convenient for counters, brochure holders and handing directly to customers where a wider A-series leaflet may take up more space.
DL provides a distinctive alternative to the more familiar A-series folded sizes. Its long, narrow proportions can help the finished piece stand out while encouraging information to be arranged in an easy-to-follow vertical layout.
The four-page format also gives you a natural reading order without requiring a more complex multi-panel fold. This makes it a practical choice when you want something more structured than a flat DL flyer but still compact and straightforward.
If you need a wider compact format, a 4 Page A6 Folded Flyer may be more suitable. If you need additional panels for a longer menu or more detailed service information, a 6 Page DL Folded Flyer may be a better choice.
The flyer starts as a flat sheet measuring 198 x 210mm and is folded once vertically through the centre. This is commonly known as a half fold or bi-fold.
Once folded, the finished piece measures 99 x 210mm. The outside spread contains the back cover and front cover, while the inside spread contains pages two and three.
A complete 4 page DL flyer is printed on both sides of the flat 198 x 210mm sheet.
One side forms the outside spread and the other forms the inside spread. The slim panels are particularly suited to structured content such as services, prices, menu items and short sections of supporting information.
Choose from gloss, silk and uncoated stocks depending on the look and intended use of your flyer.
Gloss can work well for colourful menus and image-led promotions, while silk provides a smoother, more understated finish. Uncoated paper offers a more natural surface and can suit service lists, price guides and text-led designs.

A 4 page DL flyer is printed flat as a sheet measuring 198 x 210mm and folded through the centre to create a finished DL size of 99 x 210mm.
Artwork should be supplied as two 198 x 210mm spreads rather than as four separate DL pages. One spread represents the outside of the flyer and the other represents the inside.
The fold runs vertically through the centre of each spread. Use the artwork diagram alongside as a guide to the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area.
For a fully printed 4 page flyer, supply:
Check the page order carefully before uploading and make sure the artwork has been designed specifically for the narrow DL page proportions.
We require 2mm bleed on every outer edge of the artwork. Background colours, photographs and graphics intended to continue to the trimmed edge should extend fully into this bleed area.
Important text, logos and other essential design elements should remain at least 3mm inside the finished trim edge.
It is also good practice to keep important content clear of the centre fold. Text, prices or other key elements positioned directly across the crease may become harder to read or may not sit exactly as expected once the flyer has been folded.
Artwork should be created at the correct dimensions, with images ideally supplied at 300dpi at their final printed size.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
The narrow DL pages work best when the layout has been designed specifically for their proportions. Clear headings, short sections and comfortable spacing will usually be more effective than trying to adapt a wider A-series design without changing its layout.
Use the 4 page DL artwork diagram as a visual reference for the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area. Checking both spreads before upload can help prevent incorrect page order, unwanted white edges or important content sitting too close to the trim or fold.
