4 page A4 folded flyers provide a generous amount of space for content that needs more room than smaller folded formats can comfortably offer. They begin as an A3 sheet measuring 297 x 420mm and are folded once through the centre to create a finished A4 size of 210 x 297mm.
The fold creates four large pages: a front cover, two inside pages and a back cover. This makes the format particularly useful for detailed promotional or informational material that benefits from a clear booklet-style structure.
Upload your own print-ready artwork and choose from gloss, silk and uncoated paper stocks.
A4 folded flyers are well suited to information-heavy designs where each page needs enough space for larger images, longer sections of text or multiple content blocks.
Common uses include detailed menus, service brochures, product guides, event programmes, course information, price lists, property information, company introductions and promotional literature.
The larger page size gives you more freedom to organise content into clear sections without reducing text or images excessively. This can make the finished piece easier to read and more suitable for material that customers may want to keep for reference.
The main advantage of the A4 finished size is the amount of usable space available across all four pages.
It allows you to combine strong imagery with detailed supporting information while maintaining comfortable spacing and readable typography. This makes the format a good choice when a smaller folded flyer would feel too cramped.
If your content is shorter and you want a more compact piece, a 4 Page A5 Folded Flyer may be more suitable. A4 is the better option when the amount of information or size of the imagery justifies the larger format.
The flyer starts as a flat A3 sheet and is folded once through the centre. This is commonly known as a half fold or bi-fold.
Once folded, the finished piece measures A4 and opens like a simple brochure. The outside spread contains the back cover and front cover, while the inside spread contains pages two and three.
A complete 4 page A4 flyer is printed on both sides of the flat A3 sheet.
One side forms the outside spread and the other forms the inside spread. The larger format gives each section more room, making it easier to separate headings, images, prices and supporting information without overcrowding the design.
Choose from gloss, silk and uncoated stocks depending on the style and purpose of your artwork.
Gloss can work well for photography-led brochures and colourful promotional material. Silk offers a smoother, more understated finish, while uncoated paper can suit text-heavy information, guides and designs where a more natural appearance is preferred.

A 4 page A4 flyer is printed flat as an A3 sheet measuring 297 x 420mm and folded through the centre to create a finished A4 size of 210 x 297mm.
Artwork should be supplied as two landscape A3 spreads rather than as four separate A4 pages. One spread represents the outside of the flyer and the other represents the inside.
The fold runs vertically through the centre of each landscape spread. Use the artwork diagram alongside as a guide to the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area.
For a fully printed 4 page flyer, supply:
Check the page order carefully before uploading, especially where content or imagery runs close to the centre fold.
We require 2mm bleed on every outer edge of the artwork. Background colours, photographs and graphics intended to continue to the trimmed edge should extend fully into this bleed area.
Important text, logos and other essential design elements should remain at least 3mm inside the finished trim edge.
It is also good practice to keep important content clear of the fold line. Although larger A4 pages provide more room, text or design elements placed directly across the crease can still become harder to read once folded.
Artwork should be created at the correct dimensions, with images ideally supplied at 300dpi at their final printed size.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
A4 pages give you plenty of room, but that does not mean every area needs to be filled. Clear hierarchy, comfortable spacing and well-sized headings will usually make detailed information easier to follow.
Use the 4 page A4 artwork diagram as a visual reference for the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area. Checking both spreads before upload can help prevent incorrect page order, unwanted white edges or important content sitting too close to the trim or fold.
