4 page DL folded leaflets provide a slim, compact format for organising information across four separate pages. They begin as a flat sheet measuring 198 x 210mm and are folded once through the centre to create a finished DL size of 99 x 210mm.
The tall, narrow proportions work particularly well for menus, treatment lists, service information and price guides where content can be arranged in clear vertical sections. The four-page layout also gives you a front cover, two inside pages and a back cover, making it easier to separate information into a natural reading order.
Upload your own print-ready artwork and choose from gloss, silk and uncoated paper stocks.
DL folded leaflets are well suited to information that can be presented in short, organised sections. Common uses include restaurant menus, takeaway menus, salon treatment lists, service guides, price lists, opening information, appointment details and compact company information.
The narrow finished size also makes them practical for reception desks, counter displays and brochure holders where space may be limited.
Because the leaflet opens to reveal two matching inside panels, related information can be grouped together while still keeping the overall piece compact and easy to handle.
The DL format is useful when your content naturally follows a vertical layout. Lists of prices, services, treatments or menu items can be arranged clearly without needing the wider page shape of an A-series leaflet.
The fold also gives you four distinct pages, which can make detailed information easier to follow than placing everything on the front and back of a flat DL leaflet.
If you need more room for larger photographs or wider sections of content, a 4 Page A5 Folded Leaflet may be more suitable.
The leaflet starts as a flat sheet measuring 198 x 210mm and is folded once through the centre. This is commonly known as a half fold or bi-fold.
Once folded, the finished leaflet measures 99 x 210mm. The outside spread contains the back cover and front cover, while the inside spread contains pages two and three.
A complete 4 page DL folded leaflet is printed on both sides of the flat sheet.
One side forms the outside spread and the other forms the inside spread. This gives you four narrow pages for separating menu sections, treatments, services, prices and supporting details in a clear order.
Choose from gloss, silk and uncoated stocks depending on the style and intended use of your leaflet.
Gloss can suit colourful menus and image-led artwork, silk provides a smoother and more understated finish, while uncoated paper offers a natural surface that can work well for treatment lists, service information and designs that may need to be written on.

A 4 page DL folded leaflet is printed flat at 198 x 210mm and folded through the centre to create a finished size of 99 x 210mm.
For a leaflet printed inside and outside, artwork should be supplied as two 198 x 210mm spreads rather than as four separate DL pages. One spread represents the outside of the leaflet and the other represents the inside.
The fold runs vertically through the centre of each spread. Use the artwork diagram alongside as a guide to the flat size, finished size, fold line, bleed and safe area.
For a fully printed 4 page folded leaflet, supply:
Check the page order carefully before uploading so that each panel appears in the correct position after folding.
We require 2mm bleed around the outer edge of each spread. Background colours, photographs and graphics intended to continue to the trimmed edge should extend fully into this bleed area.
Important text, logos, prices and other essential information should remain at least 3mm inside the finished trim edge.
Keep important wording clear of the centre fold as well. Background images can cross the crease where required, but small text, prices and other critical details should not sit directly over the fold.
Artwork should be created at the correct dimensions, with photographs and other raster images ideally supplied at 300dpi at their final printed size.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
The narrow DL panels work best when information is arranged vertically and kept easy to scan. Use clear headings and comfortable spacing, and check prices, menu items and smaller text at approximately the finished printed size before uploading.
Use the 4 page DL folded leaflet artwork diagram as a visual reference for the flat size, finished DL size, fold line, bleed and safe area. Checking both spreads carefully before upload can help prevent incorrect page order, unwanted white edges or important information sitting too close to the trim or fold.
