If your design contains less information and you want something easier to carry or hand out, an A5 Leaflet may be more suitable. A4 is the better option when clarity and information capacity are more important than keeping the printed piece compact.
A4 leaflets can be printed in portrait or landscape orientation. Portrait works well for menus, notices, guides and information arranged in a familiar top-to-bottom format.
Landscape provides more horizontal room for price tables, schedules, product comparisons, wider photographs or layouts divided into several columns. Your artwork should be supplied in the same orientation selected when ordering.

A4 leaflets have a finished size of 210 x 297mm. Artwork should be prepared at the correct dimensions and include the required bleed beyond the finished edge wherever colours, photographs or graphics are intended to continue to the edge.
We require 2mm bleed on every edge, giving an overall artwork size of 214 x 301mm. Background colours and images that continue to the finished edge should extend fully into this additional area.
Important text, prices, logos and contact details should remain at least 3mm inside the finished edge. Keeping essential information within this safe area helps prevent it appearing too close to the trim after finishing.
Artwork should be supplied at the correct size, with photographs and other raster images ideally set at 300dpi at their final printed dimensions. This helps photographs, logos and detailed graphics remain clear when printed.
Where possible, prepare artwork using CMYK colour rather than RGB. Screens display colour in RGB, while commercial printing typically reproduces colour using CMYK. Because the two colour systems work differently, some colours may appear slightly different in print compared with how they look on screen.
A4 gives you plenty of room for content, but a clear layout is still important. Break longer information into headings or sections and check the design at approximately its finished printed size so text, prices and other important details remain comfortable to read.
