Choosing the Right Printed Product

Different print formats suit different types of artwork and information. The amount of content you need to include, how the finished item will be distributed and whether customers are likely to keep it for reference can all help determine which product is most suitable.

Flyers or Leaflets?

Flyers and leaflets are produced in much the same way, and the terms are often used interchangeably. Flyers are commonly associated with promotions, advertising and events, while leaflets are often used for services, menus, prices and information that customers may keep for reference.

When Should I Choose Folded Printing?

A folded flyer or leaflet is useful when your artwork contains too much information for a single flat sheet. Folding creates separate pages or panels, helping you divide services, products, prices or other information into a clearer reading order.

When is a Poster More Suitable?

Posters are designed for information that needs to be visible while displayed rather than handed directly to the reader. Larger sizes give headings, offers, event information and important messages more space to be seen from further away.

What if I Already Have Print-Ready Artwork?

Choose the product that matches your artwork size and specification, select the required printing options and upload your file during the ordering process. You will then be able to check the uploaded artwork before completing your purchase.

Short Run Printing FAQs

What is short run printing?

Short run printing is the production of smaller quantities of printed material. It is useful when you do not need a large bulk print run or when information, prices or promotions may change regularly.

Can I upload my own artwork?

Yes. Short Run Print is designed for customers who already have their own artwork. Choose your product and printing options, then upload your artwork before proceeding to checkout.

What does print-ready artwork mean?

Print-ready artwork is a file that has already been prepared at the correct finished size and includes any required bleed. Important text and other essential content should also remain within the recommended safe area.

How much bleed should I add?

Our products generally require 2mm bleed on each edge. The artwork guide on each product page shows the finished size, bleed area and recommended 3mm safe area for that particular format.

Do you offer fast printing and delivery?

Many products are available with fast 24-hour dispatch, with faster delivery services available when required. Free standard delivery is also included with orders.

Which paper should I choose?

The best paper depends on the product and artwork. Gloss can suit colourful image-led designs, silk provides a smoother and more understated appearance, while uncoated paper has a natural surface and can also be suitable when the finished print needs to be written on.
